In Salford and proud Advertisement

As part of my film and video editing course my college was chosen to shoot some new advertisements to be shown in The New Salford Royal Hospital building. We were given the Brief IN salford and proud and was todl to convey the city in a way that they are proud to be apart of because salford has such a negative stigma attatched to it. due to the resources we were given and the way the breif was written there was hardly any room for ideas generation and we ended up going with a sort of tourism adverts using photographs with a sort of postcard feel

Keepsake - Short Film

As part of Film and video Editing we Were required to do a short film. this film is truly terrible I cant stand the fact that my name is on it but we all did the best we could given the circumstances surrounding the film. the story was changed multiple times due to complications and the actresses and crew changed a lot so by the time we got to seriously working on it nobody cared anymore it was just a huge problem we just wanted out of the way.

Salford Quays Photoshoot

As part of my photography unit i was required to go to salford Quays to get different pictures for the theme of Architectural exploration of urban landscapes. i tok 300 pictures but was required to only use 10 final edited images. i was inpsired by the photographers Ansel Adams and Adam Burton in the way that they use blended colours and black and white for striking effect

Magazine Double Page Spread

This is my double page spread for the magazine. The article itself is very Jocose in a way that it pokes fun at the serious magazines. as if anyway would actually talk this way. For the design itself i went in a proffesional magazine route with bold for the questions and the answers in a typical column fashion and certain quotes from the answers in bold italic so people could distinguish between the 3 different types of text. I worked the text around the vague logo aswell because it looks better stood out and if not the text became unreadable and indistinguishable. I did run out of room at the end so i decided to use my 2 edited versions for the front cover and give the article a name. as though the magazine does a regular thing of it

Magazine Contents Page

For my contents page I decided to use a very unconventional method where there is only one picture and no advertisement. i felt this worked effectively because The magazine is called Vague (a play on vogue) and the inforomation itself leaves a lot the imagination and isnt revealing at all, the image i used is rather Creepy and striking and captures your eye immeadiately.
